What a day!

Whirlwind of a day yesterday after arriving in St Thomas. We never stopped! Here's a recap of the events...

Arrive on St Thomas around 230 and were greeted with a "welcome" shot...ha! Thanks! But really what's the point of it. I didn't see anyone selling booze, but I was glad to try it! Picked up our luggage and our delta crew Joe and Erin showed up.

Taxi to the American Yacht Harbor...asked the dispatcher "how much, 6 people plug bags...." "11 dollars with your bags" sweet action. Thats pretty decent. After our 20 minute ride through town we got to the American Yacht Harbor, get out, and he says "15 dollars" hmm... Did I miss
Something? Oh well it wasn't worth the hassle! We were here and we found our boat... Right where we left her!

Jump aboard and Dan from FairWinds gives us a little quick overview and we both agreed we'd do the checkout in the AM... Good by us because we were all cranky sweaty and exhausted.

Spent happy hour at a local resturaunt and then matt and I went and bought groceries for us all for 10 days! Imagine checking out 5 cart loads in a store the size of Sheetz... It's hilarious.

Crew packed away the provisions and we got a call from two of our friends that had arranged a private party for us and them over at the Snitzel Haus, a little German gig. Awesome, we will head over there and chill after our long travel day!

Our Mile High ambassador, Lindsey showed up. Coming from Denver she was traveling all day, made all three connecing flights! She happened to be sharing a cab with Saildoggie, (Mark Paulson) what a small world!

We headed over to the Snitzel Haus and spent a few hours just catching up with Steve(boatjunkie) and Mark, and Capt Jim of Blue Moon, another cat. Let's just sum it up, good times were had by all! But next thing you know it, it's 1230 and the pirates are exhausted! Back to La Bella Vita and get some sleep before heading out in the morning.

Were still wondering about how our 8th crewmember is going to get here, he is stuck in Miami. Were gonna see how he can get here, but it nay be by combination of plane taxi, ferry or swimming, but we will get him here!

Ok, crew is stirring, coffee time!! More later.
